4.2 millionboard feet harvested last season.
Fell Timber LLC — Backcountry Logging
Delivered to 9 mills last season
Every load scaled and documented before it leaves the landing. We maintain active relationships with nine regional mills — from Coos Bay to the Cascades — so your timber moves on your schedule, not ours.
OSHA recordable incidents in 24 months
Backcountry logging is the most dangerous land-based profession in the United States. Our crew trains quarterly, pre-shifts every morning, and has run 24 consecutive months without a recordable incident. Proof is in the paperwork — available on request.
From signed contract to first cut
We keep equipment staged and crew ready. When a county agency calls about a fire break that needs clearing before August, or a timberland owner needs to move before the rainy season locks the roads, 72 hours is our standard mobilization window.
From stump
to mill gate.
Every phase of the harvest under one contract. No subcontractor coordination, no split liability, no excuses.
Felling & Bucking
High-lead and ground-based felling on slopes up to 80%. We run Stihl MS 881 and Husqvarna 395XP on large-diameter timber, with mechanical felling heads on our buncher for production work. Bucked to mill specs — 8-foot pulp, 16-foot saw, custom lengths on request.

Ground Skidding
CAT D6 and John Deere 748 skidders on our primary fleet, with a Tigercat 620 for steep-slope work. We build skid roads where the terrain allows and use winch-assist where it doesn't. Slash is piled for burning or chipping — no slash left in stream channels.

Log Hauling
Twelve-truck fleet running Kenworth T880s on mountain routes that GPS won't acknowledge. We pre-run every haul road before first load, maintain our own road-building crew, and coordinate directly with mill receiving to eliminate detention time. Loads scaled at landing or mill — your choice.

Timber Cruising & Planning
Before a saw starts, we walk your stand. Our licensed cruisers estimate volume by species and grade, identify site constraints, and hand-draw a harvest plan you can read without a GIS degree. We've turned down jobs that weren't worth the ground disturbance — and told the owner why.

Three kinds of clients.
One standard of work.
Overstocked stands that need a plan — not a pitch.
Private landowners sitting on 40 to 4,000 acres of second-growth that's never been commercially harvested. We'll tell you what you have, what it's worth at the mill gate, and what a responsible harvest looks like for the next rotation. If the numbers don't work, we'll tell you that too.
Fire breaks before August. Cleared and documented.
County road departments and fire safe councils hiring before fire season. We've cleared fuel breaks on slopes where skid steer operators won't go, produced compliant documentation for CAL FIRE reimbursement, and met every deadline on every county contract we've taken. References from Siskiyou, Trinity, and Shasta counties available.
Scaled, sorted, and delivered on your schedule.
Mill buyers who need a steady supply of merchantable logs — not a dump of whatever came off the mountain. We sort by species, grade, and length at the landing. Loads arrive scaled and documented. If a load doesn't meet spec, we handle it before it reaches your deck. Nine active mill relationships. Ask for a reference.

We walk the stand first.
Tell us where the ground is and what's on it. We'll have a cruise estimate back within 48 hours — no obligation, no sales call. If the numbers work for both sides, we'll talk contract.
